ATLANTIC BEACH, SC -- The South Carolina Supreme Court will hear the case of an election battle in Atlantic Beach.

In November 2009, two write in candidates, Carolyn Cole and Windy Price, beat incumbent candidates Charlene Taylor and Josephine Isom.

Taylor, Isom, and another candidate, Paul Curry, protested. The town then decided to order a new election.

That decision was appealed by the winning candidates Cole and Price. Then, a judge upheld the election commission's decision to hold a new election.

Cole and Price filed another appeal which will be heard by the state Supreme Court on April 5th at 10 a.m.
