Harvey Cox is back in Florence County and has been booked into the Florence County Detention Center. He's charged with committing or attempting a lewd act upon a child under 16.
US Marshals arrested Cox last Thursday in Silver Springs, Florida.
In January, the Coast Guard spent two days searching for Cox when his abandoned boat was found in the waters off Murrells Inlet. The Coast Guard suspended its search after someone spotted Cox in his hometown of Florence. We then learned he was wanted for committing a lewd act on a young girl between July of 2008 and January of this year.
