NORTH MYRTLE BEACH, SC -- Every year, Hootie & the Blowfish, which got it's start in South Carolina, hosts a golf tournament in Myrtle Beach called Monday after the Masters, to coincide with the Masters Tournament.
This year, ESPN'S "Mike & Mike in the Morning" will broadcast live from 6 a.m. - 10 a.m. on April 11, the day of the tournament.
Thursday, Hootie & the Blowfish Monday After the Masters Celebrity Pro-Am officials announced that fans who have purchased tickets for the golf tournament can also attend the radio broadcast.
Both events will take place at the Dye Club at Barefoot Resort & Golf. ESPN wants at least 250 people to attend the show, but more are welcome. People who have purchased tickets to Monday After The Masters and wish to be part of the Mike & Mike show audience are asked to arrive and park their vehicles at the Alabama Theatre located at Barefoot Landing no later than 5:15 a.m. on April 11. According to a news release, buses will take ticket holders to The Dye Club starting at 5:30 a.m. General parking is not allowed at The Dye Club.
Tickets for 2011 Hootie & The Blowfish Monday After the Masters Celebrity Pro-Am Golf Tournament can be purchased at the House of Blues, the Barefoot Resort & Golf pro shops and all Ticketmaster outlets. Tickets are $15 with children 12 years-of-age and younger admitted free. While children are admitted free, they must have a ticket to enter the event. The event has been sold out for the past five years as tournament officials can only sell a limited amount of tickets. Purchasing tickets in advance is advised.
The Monday after the Masters event benefits the South Carolina Junior Golf Foundation.
