HORRY COUNTY -- A Conway man died Wednesday morning in a single-car crash on Highway 378.
The Horry County Coroners Office identified the man as Thomas Jones, 26.
According to South Carolina Highway Patrol, Jones lost control of the car while traveling east on Highway 378 around 2:20 a.m. Troopers say the car veered off the side of the road near West Johnson Road, overturned and hit several trees.
Troopers say he was not wearing his seat belt at the time.
Jones was taken to Grand Strand Regional Medical Center where he was pronounced dead at 4:30 a.m.
Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.
