CONWAY -- Tuesday marks the 100th anniversary of International Women's Day.

The day was first recognized in 1911 as a way to celebrate women's achievements worldwide, but to also bring awareness to what still needs to be done to create a more equal world.

Carolina Coastal University students, faculty, and staff members stood together on the Wall Bridge at Prince Lawn on the schools campus Tuesday afternoon.

March is also Women's History Month. CCU is planning a variety of events throughout the month to celebrate the accomplishments of women throughout history.

We're asking our readers, do you consider men and women equal in America today? Your comments may appear on NewsChannel 15 at 11.
