Harvey Cox, 58, is expected to be back in Florence by the first of next week. US Marshals arrested Cox Thursday in Silver Springs, Florida.

In January, the Coast Guard spent two days searching for Cox when his abandoned boat was found in the waters off Murrells Inlet. The Coast Guard suspended its search after someone spotted Cox in his hometown of Florence. We then learned he was wanted for committing a lewd act on a young girl between July of 2008 and January of this year.

Captain Brett Camp, with the Florence County Sheriff's Office, says officials at the jail in Silver Springs, Florida say their extradition paperwork takes about four days to complete. They started the paperwork Monday. Camp says deputies will more than likely head to Florida to pick up Cox next week.
