GARDEN CITY -- Horry County police say they've arrested four people in connection with a deadly shooting Tuesday night, but they're still looking for two other suspects.

Police were called to the home on Drayton Court around 9:25 p.m.

They found Kevin Bowens, 35, with several gunshot wounds to his torso. Bowens was taken to Waccamaw Community Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

We talked with a neighbor, Brian McGarrahan, who said, "I was going to bed a little early last night. I wasn't quite awake, was kind of asleep and I heard something and I perked up and sat up in the bed and I heard three gunshots. It was two and a slight pause then a third gunshot. I immediately got up out of bed, came to investigate. My kids were still up out in the living room with my wife and we came outside, saw 2 vehicles leaving. I was able to identify a red small pickup truck and a gold four-door car, small Honda or Nissan, not sure, but of that style."

McGarrahan then saw Bowens lying on the ground. He had his son call 9-1-1 and he tried to help Bowens, but said, "I evaluated him and wasn't able to find any pulses on either his carotid or femoral artery and he had no respirations." McGarrahan has a medical background. He says his neighborhood is usually safe and called the shooting an isolated incident.

Police chased the two cars that McGarrahan saw leave the scene. That chase ended around McDowell Shortcut Road off Highway 17 Bypass.

Thomas Gifford Byrne, 19, of Myrtle Beach; Amanda Lee Byrne, 22, of Myrtle Beach; Ashley Janine Bledsoe, 18, of Garden City; and Sage Lee McPhail, 20, of Loris were taken into custody and are at J. Reuben Long Detention Center.

Police are still looking for Saire Jerrel Castro, 22, of Myrtle Beach. He fled from police custody while being questioned. Officials say he was lost on foot and bloodhounds were unable to pick up his trail. They say he should be considered armed and dangerous. Police believe he has shaved his head since the attached picture was taken.

They're also searching for Kareem Shamel Harry, 26, of Myrtle Beach. He should also be considered armed and dangerous. Police say Castro and Harry are wanted for murder.

If you have information about the suspects, call Horry County Detectives at 915-5350. You may also contact 915-TIPS (8477) if you wish to remain anonymous.
