Every year over 17,000 people are ticketed in South Carolina for driving under the influence.

A significant number of those citations are issued in Horry County. In 2010, 34 people were killed in DUI related accidents in Horry County alone.

It's staggering numbers like those that led us to wonder if people would intervene before letting a stranger get behind the wheel.

We enlisted the help of two local actors, and hid our cameras in The Market Common in Myrtle Beach on a chilly afternoon in early February.

The actors were told to pretend to be drunk and stumble toward a car with the intention of driving.

Did people stop our actors from getting behind the wheel? Watch the video to find out.
