Horry County Fire Rescue along with Fair Bluff fire fighters responded to a house fire on Duford Road and Highway 9 in Nichols Tuesday.
HCFR officials say when first responders arrived on scene the single family home was well involved and the fire was threatening a church next door.
As fire fighters battle the house fire, they are reportedly on scene making sure it does not spread to the church.
Seven units, between HCFR and Fair Bluff, responded to the fire. Parts of Highway 9 are closed near Duford Road.
No injuries have been reported.
