GEORGETOWN COUNTY -- Georgetown County deputies say someone broke into more than 20 vehicles in Pawleys Island.

Deputy Russell Goodale says the break-ins happened Sunday night into Monday morning in the Ricefields and Pawleys Retreat communities. The thief stole laptops, money and GPS systems, among other things.

Deputy Goodale says some of the cars were broken into, while others were unlocked.

A car was stolen in that area during the same time, but deputies don't know if it was related to the car break-ins.

Goodale asks anyone with information to call the Georgetown County Sheriff's Office at (843) 546-5102. You can also Text-A-Tip. Text the word GGCSOTIP and your message to 274637.
