COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) - A nonprofit dedicated to promoting South Carolina's public schools is holding a video talent contest.

South Carolina Future Minds is accepting videos from students showing off their skills in dancing, singing and a variety of talents. 

The contest is open to public school students between 1st and 12th grades in all South Carolina school districts.

Entries are accepted until March 15, and judging starts the next day. The general public will vote on Facebook on the winner, who will be announced April 1.

Winners are invited to perform live at the 2011 South Carolina Teacher of the Year celebration on April 27 at the Columbia Metropolitan Convention Center. South Carolina ETV is filming the event for broadcasting across the state,
