(AP) -- COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) - Governor Nikki Haley's nominees to lead South Carolina's tax and insurance agencies have won final approval.

The state Senate Thursday approved Jim Etter as state Revenue Department director by a 31-0 vote. The chamber then approved David Black as state Insurance Department director by a 28-0 vote.

Etter lives in Blythewood and was chief financial officer of Norco Equipment LLC in Columbia.

Black lives in Greenville and was chief executive officer of Liberty Life Insurance Co. in Greenville.

The Senate is wrapping up confirmation hearings on Haley's Cabinet picks. On Thursday senators sent Haley's nominees for the state prisons and drug abuse agencies to the floor for votes as early as next week.
