Florence County deputies searched the business owned by Harvey Cox, 58, on South Cashua Drive Thursday.
Cox, who runs a refrigeration repair business, went missing on January 17. At first, rescuers thought Cox went missing while boating in Murrells Inlet. The Department of Natural Resources, Coast Guard and Georgetown County Sheriff's Office looked for Cox for days. They found his boat, wallet and his truck.
We then learned that Cox had been seen taking a cab from Murrells Inlet to Florence on the night he went missing. It was revealed that there's a warrant out for Cox's arrest for Lewd Act with a Minor under the age of 16.
Deputies say they were at Cox's business looking for information that could help them find him. They were there for about 45 minutes, but they're not saying if they found anything that will lead them to Cox.
Florence County deputies say Cox knew he was going to be interviewed about the lewd act charge the day before he disappeared.
If you know where Cox may be, call Pee Dee Crimestoppers at (843) 667-TIPS.
