MYRTLE BEACH (AP) -- Former New Mexico governor Johnson visiting SC Former New Mexico Gov. Gary Johnson is making a visit to South Carolina, home to the nation's first-in-the-South GOP primary.
Johnson is speaking Monday evening at a Myrtle Beach Tea Party event in Myrtle Beach. Johnson has been mentioned as a possible Republican presidential candidate in 2012. He served as New Mexico governor from 1995 through 2003.
Two years ago, Johnson started a political advocacy group, the Our America Initiative.
