CENTENARY -- Authorities in the Pee Dee arrested a man after leading police on a chase that reached speeds of 120 mph.

In a press release, Marion County Sheriff Mark Richardson said deputies with the Marion County Drug Unit tried to stop Marquis Rakim Allison, 21, Thursday night on Highway 41.

Sheriff Richardson says Allison eventually lost control of his Ford Crown Victoria, but not before leading police on a 10-mile chase that reached up to 120 mph.

Police found Allison moments after he lost control hiding under a bush.

Authorities charged Allison with failure to stop for blue lights, distribution of marijuana and a seat belt violation.
