(AP) -- A plastics company plans to create 75 jobs when it opens a plant in Oconee County.
The South Carolina Commerce Department said Tuesday that Altera Polymers LLC is spending $4 million on the plant in Seneca.
The plastics made at the plant can be used in consumer products, food packaging and industrial products. Some of the material used will come from recycled plastic.
The city of Seneca is providing the building. The company expects to begin hiring in a few months.
