The 2nd Annual Magic at the Beach convention started Friday, with more than 200 people attending from all over the country. Organizers say the convention gives magicians a chance to share ideas and show off their newest acts.
Local magic fans long dreamed of bringing a convention here and so far, it's going well. "Beautiful weather, great event, everything's running on time, all of our international acts have arrived and we're ready," said Mike Heidtman, Magic at the Beach.
The highlight of the convention will be a Champions of Magic Show, open to the public at Carolina Opry, Saturday night at 7:30.
