(AP) -- SPARTANBURG, S.C. (AP) - Police say a 14-year-old Spartanburg boy shot and killed two relatives, including an 83-year-old woman, and then called 911.
Spartanburg Public Safety officials say the teen called around midnight Monday and said he had shot three people. An 80-year-old woman was also critically injured.
Capt. Art Littlejohn says the teen came out of the house with his hands up and was taken into custody.
The Spartanburg County coroner's office says a 44-year-old man and 83-year-old woman were killed.
The teen has not been charged, and his name has not been released. Police say the boy's father gave him the gun used in the shootings as a birthday present.
