After a week off from school for last week's snowstorm, the Darlington County School District has scheduled two make-up days.
Students in Darlington County School District will now go to school on February 11 and May 27. These days were designated as make-up on the board approved 2010-11 calendar.
The remaining make-up days for students have yet to be determined.
In order for the make-up schedule to work, a teacher professional development day and the parent-teacher conferences day must be changed to student days. Therefore, teachers will need to make up their missed workdays. Originally February 10 and 11 were scheduled as parent-teacher conference days. Teachers will now hold parent-teacher conferences before and after school and during their planning period that entire week.
Individual schools will send home parent-teacher information with their students at a later date. Teachers are scheduled to make up the in-service day on Saturday, May 28. This schedule is subject to change based on legislative decisions pertaining to snow make-up days. Any changes will be communicated to parents and employees as soon as possible.
