The former Speaker of the House will speak to the Grand Strand Business Association at the Marina Inn at Grande Dunes Thursday evening.
He stopped by our studios to tape an appearance for Carolina This Week which will air Sunday morning at 9 a.m. on NewsChannel 15.
When asked whether he'll run for president in 2012, he told NewsChannel 15's Tim McGinnis, "Well, we're certainly starting to think about it. We'll make a decision about it come February about whether or not to explore it seriously. But anyone who has any thought at all about this has to be thinking about South Carolina because in the last five Republican nominating processes, South Carolina ended up voting for the eventual nominee."
The former speaker also talked about the economy, how to get I-73 built, the tragedy in Tucson and many other issues.
