A bond hearing is scheduled today for a 14-year-old arrested in June for attempted murder, kidnapping, carjacking and armed robbery.
Zireek Brooks, who will be tried as an adult, is expected to appear in court at the Horry County Judicial Center at 2 p.m. Wednesday.
Police say Brooks asked a woman for a ride and when she let him in the car, they say he shot her in the head. She managed to get out of the car and call police. 15th Circuit Solicitor Greg Hembree says a bullet is still lodged in Danielle Delpercio's neck and doctors say it's a miracle she survived.
Police arrested Brooks after pulling him over in Delpercio's car shortly after the June 12th, 2010 shooting.
Hembree says state law allows for juveniles charged with certain crimes to be handled as adults.
