Marty and his family swept up and down their residential street being envied by the window peeking eyes of the other neighborhood kids.
Marty McIntyre of Dillon County warns everyone when telling your kids that school is canceled make sure you wear earplugs.
"There was a lot of screaming." McIntyre said. "They were really excited about the snow day."
In Dillon, he stood among the few parents braving the elements.
"I don't know why many kids aren't out. Maybe it's because it's a little more snow than expected. I would say there is about six inches out here."
Despite the fear of frostbite, the McIntyre's were the only family on the block.
With a full tank of gas in their four wheeler and inner tube in tow, Marty and his family swept up and down their residential street being envied by the window peeking eyes of the other neighborhood kids.
"Pulling the tube behind the four-wheeler is the next best thing to sledding since we don't have any hills."
Even though Marty had to take a day off from work, he says he wouldn't trade days like this for anything. "With young kids like we have these days are special and you've got to make the most of them."
And as long as the snow stands on the ground in Dillon, seven-year-old Mattie says there is only one place you can find her. "I'm going to be playing in the snow," says Mattie, "as long as I can."
