A cold front diving into the Carolinas today will bring in more clouds, a shower or 2 and much colder weekend weather. The winds will be picking up and with the clouds around, high temperatures will struggle to reach 50 area wide.

We'll remain mostly cloudy through the late night with some clearing by daybreak Saturday. Temps will drop into the low 30s along the Grand Strand and upper 20s Inland.

Saturday expect to see mostly sunny skies, but a chilly and breezy day will be on tap. Highs will reach the upper 40s.

The weekend will stay dry, but a complex system will impact the Carolinas late Sun into Tues. The system is still off of the West Coast of California and has a long way to travel before impacting our area. There is still a lot of uncertainty regarding this system so the forecast will potentially be changing throughout the weekend. Once the system moves onshore, we will be able to collect better data and from there will gain a better idea of what we can expect. With that being said, at this time, the forecast models continue to take the low pressure system onshore and then south along the Gulf coast through the end of the weekend. The low will then track up the East Coast Monday into Tuesday.  The exact track is still unclear and this will have a big impact on what the area sees.  At this point it looks like we will see a mixed bag of weather from it. With cold air in place overnight Sunday into Monday we could be starting as snow then changing over to sleet/freezing rain then rain Monday. \
