Employees continue to return in waves to the Georgetown steel mill that shut down in 2009 due to the recession.

115 employees have returned to Arcelor Mittal since October and an additional 40 hourly workers reported to work Tuesday morning.

The United Steel Workers Union President says once equipment at the mill is repaired, production of steel wire rod will begin on Janurary 24.

An estimated 250 employees will be on payroll at Arcelor Mittal. Nearly 350 were let go when the mill shut down in 2009.
