GREENVILLE, S.C. (AP) - A spokesman for Milliken & Co. says control of the company will stay in the hands of Roger Milliken even after the textile magnate's death.

Company spokesman Richard Dillard told The Greenville News that Milliken prepared for decades in advance and had a plan in place for almost any circumstance.

Milliken was still chairman of his family's company when he died Thursday at age 95.

Dillard says Joe Salley will remain the president and CEO of Milliken & Co., and the company will still be privately held with a board that answers to a group of family shareholders.

Milliken & Co. employs about 9,000 workers in 50 plants in seven countries.
