(AP) -- Columbia is holding a family friendly carnival to say goodbye to 2010.

The city's parks and recreation department is holding a New Year's Eve Carnival on Friday in Finlay Park in downtown Columbia.

The festivities from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. include food, games, rides and karaoke.

Organizers say a fireworks display is planned to cap off the night a few hours before 2011 arrives.
