You can make your Christmas tree a little greener by recycling it.
The Horry County Solid Waste Authority is chipping trees into landscaping mulch. Just take off all the lights and decorations and drop off your tree at one of the locations listed here.
Drop-off locations:
- - City residents of Myrtle Beach, Conway, Surfside Beach, Loris and Aynor may place trees on the street curb for pick-up.
- - Myrtle Beach residents may also visit 10th Avenue North, behind Myrtle Waves.
- - City residents of North Myrtle Beach may leave trees curbside January 2-20.
- - Cherry Grove - Public parking lot at 15th Avenue North and Ocean Boulevard.
- - Crescent Beach - Soccer field at Outrigger Road and Possum Trot Road.
- - Ocean Drive - Public parking lot on Main Street between Hillside Drive and Ocean Boulevard.
