3 companies plan to add 149 jobs in South Carolina

(AP) -- COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) - Three companies say they'll invest $56 million in South Carolina operations and create 149 jobs.

Glass fiber reinforcement maker Owens Corning says it will invest $36 million to expand production at its Aiken facility and add 24 jobs. That production line is expected to begin operating in mid-2012. Owens Corning is based in Toledo, Ohio.

Geocent LLC is spending $2 million on a North Charleston facility that will create 100 jobs as the New Orleans defense and information technology company which supports the Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center there.

ISO Poly Films Inc. will spend $18 million to expand its facility in Laurens County and create 25 new jobs. The Gray Court-based company makes films for laminating, printing and coating.
