(AP) -- ROCK HILL, S.C. (AP) - A woman has been arrested and charged with a violation at the Rock Hill day care center she operated after an infant died earlier this month.
Multiple media outlets reported 57-year-old Elizabeth Truesdale has been charged with a child care facility violation. Police Lt. Brad Redfearn says the charge is a misdemeanor that carries up to six months in jail upon conviction.
Officials say Zaden Jones stopped breathing at the home Dec. 3 and later died.
Police say Truesdale and one other person were caring for 20 children under 5 years old the day the infant was found unresponsive. The home was licensed for only five children.
Truesdale told police she attempted CPR while a friend who was helping watch the children called 911.
The Department of Social Services also is investigating.
