(AP) -- The South Carolina Highway Patrol says two teenagers have been killed in a wreck in Lancaster County.

The Herald of Rock Hill reported the wreck happened Monday afternoon near Kershaw.

Deputy Coroner Karla Knight Deese said Tuesday the victims were 17-year-old Justin Brewer of Kershaw and 16-year-old Derrick Peach of Health Springs.

Highway Patrol Sgt. Kelly Hughes says the teens' car ran a stop sign, hit an embankment and overturned.

Brewer died at the scene. Peach was flown to Palmetto Health Richland Hospital in Columbia where he died.

Hughes says both victims were wearing seat belts.
