Monday night, the City of Florence named Betty Gregg its Citizen of the Month.
Gregg is credited with spearheading a number of positive efforts to improve the quality of life for residents in North Florence.
This isn't the first honor for Gregg. She's been named the Citizen Volunteer of the Year by the State Association of School Resource Officers, and she was the state's Crime Prevention Person of the Year.
Gregg is the president of the Greater Wilson Heights Crime Watch Organization, and she's been helping to fight crime in the City of Florence for more than 20 years.
