The Horry County Board of Education is adding more than $4 million worth of space to Carolina Forest Elementary School.
Board members approved a construction bid Monday night for the renovations.
Among the additions are 15 new classrooms, facilities for music, art, and an improved playground.
The Horry County School District originally awarded a bid for those improvements to a different contractor, but had to go back after it was discovered that contractor didn't have the right license.
