There was one last shot at glory Friday night for former high school football players from Conway and Myrtle Beach.
Former Conway football players took on former Myrtle Beach players for an alumni game at Conway High School. Some of the players had their glory days as far back as 1978.
"Most of them run about three steps and stop and catch their breath. But for the most part, we got two ambulances over there, and we haven't had but one dislocated thumb, so far!" Conway head football coach Chuck Jordan told NewsChannel 15.
Former cheerleaders for those schools were there to perform as well.
Alumni Athletics USA hosted the fundraising event.
The winner of the game was Conway by a score of 21 to 13.
