According to the South Carolina Criminal Justice Academy, charges have been dismissed against Brian Woodberry.
Woodberry was a Marion County sheriff's deputy. He was arrested on a charge of domestic violence in September. Deputies said he got into an argument with his wife and threw a computer monitor that hit her leg.
We have learned the charge against Woodberry was dismissed at the victim's request, and his certification was reinstated by the South Carolina Criminal Justice Academy.
The chief of the Sellers Police Department says he hired Woodberry three weeks ago to work for his department.
