Football players from all over the state are on the Grand Strand for the North-South All-Star game.
Thursday, they took time out from practice to help area kids.
The players took more than fifty kids-in-need on a Christmas shopping spree. Former NFL player Brandon Frye from Myrtle Beach started this program four years ago.
The goal of the North-South All-Stars was to spread a little Christmas joy.
"To see a smile on a kid's face when they get what they want is unbelievable, especially with those who are less fortunate. but I can see what he's feeling right now," said Avery Grant, a South All-Star from Mullins High.
Most of the money for this year's shopping spree was donated by Rock Hill native Chris Hope of the NFL's Tennessee Titans.
