A near bus accident in the Pee Dee sent two students to the hospital.

Marlboro County School District officials say a car cut a bus off on Breeden Street in Bennettsville just after 6:30 Tuesday evening.

As a result, the bus driver slammed on the brakes causing a few students to bump their heads.

EMS checked out all 20 kids on the bus. One was taken by ambulance to the emergency room, another by car.

Highway Patrol hasn't cited anyone at this point. The bus was taking elementary students home from an after-school program.
