A former Marion County deputy, arrested for domestic violence, was hired at another police department.

Brian Woodberry was arrested in September after deputies say he got into an argument with his wife and threw a computer monitor that hit her leg.

The chief of the Sellers Police Department tells NewsChannel 15 he hired Woodberry three weeks ago.

The chief said the South Carolina Criminal Justice Academy cleared Woodberry to work as an officer at his department.

We're told charges are still pending against Woodberry.
