The Dillon County Sheriff's Office says a dog that killed a man was put down.
Deputies say they couldn't be sure he wouldn't attack someone else.
The family of Justin Lane, 25, told deputies his mother found him lying on the couch covered in blood at their home on Skillet Road November 17.
Deputies say an autopsy determined Lane was killed by the 2-year-old pit bull.
