Low Country Community Church, or LC-3, in Murrells Inlet welcomed anyone who wanted to come to Thanksgiving dinner Thursday.
Volunteers across the Eastern Carolinas gave their time this Thanksgiving to feed others who may not have very much.
Low Country Community Church, or LC-3, in Murrells Inlet welcomed anyone who wanted to come to Thanksgiving dinner Thursday.
They served the traditional fare of turkey, dressing (or stuffing depending on where you're from), cranberry sauce and rolls.
The senior pastor says the turnout was amazing for those both enjoying and serving the dinner.
"We've got a man here who's homeless that is sleeping under a tarp who is here. Not only has he had dinner, but he is volunteering and he is serving. He's cleaning. He's doing everything. He's just so happy to be here and to be part of this church family. And that's been the most special experience that we've come across at our church here today," Pastor Steve Fairchild, Low Country Community Church, told NewsChannel 15.
Fairchild plays Garth Brooks at Legends in Concert. Some of his fellow-performers helped serve the dinner.
