Troopers say the driver of an RV ran through the cross arms at a train crossing, causing the crash that killed his wife, a passenger in the RV.
It happened on Highway 521 in Georgetown County near Nine Mile Curve around 9am Monday.
Georgetown County Coroner Kenny Johnson says the woman died at the scene. Her husband was taken from Georgetown Hospital to the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston.
Johnson says the couple is from Florida, but he's trying to figure out if they have any family in our area. The woman's name has not been released.
