Local tourism leaders got an update Friday on the Grand Strand's lobbying efforts in Washington, DC.
Myrtle Beach Area Chamber of Commerce President Brad Dean says the lobbyists had more questions than answers, on funding for the I-73 project.
Dean says there is no doubt there will be a new federal highway bill next year, but now that republicans have control over one branch of Congress and have pledged to eliminate earmarks, no one's sure where funding will go.
