You can help people stay warm during these cold nights by donating coats and blankets.

Street Reach Ministries is hosting the drive at its building on Mister Joe White Avenue in Myrtle Beach. They're accepting men's and women's coats of any size, thick blankets, and plastic tarps to distribute to the homeless.

The executive director, Joy Hanner, says there's more than one reason to help. "Well, I think apart from getting the warm fuzzies about helping someone else - is an awareness that we do have homeless in our community."

Street Reach is the only homeless shelter between Charleston and Wilmington.
