The Georgetown City Council is considering spending an additional nearly $50,000 on renovations to the Harborwalk. Members will vote on the issue Thursday night.
So far, city council has ok'd spending about $470,000. The additional money would pay for new wire railings and gangways that lead from the Harborwalk back to businesses along the waterfront.
The city administrator says even if city council approves the increase, they'll still come in under budget.
The city is paying for the construction with money from hospitality taxes.
