A man wanted on a sexual assault charge filed in California 21 years ago has been arrested in Loris.
Horry County police say 76-year-old Julio Grasso was arrested at his home last week, on a warrant out of Pittsburg, California. Pittsburg Police say Grasso was charged with molesting a 12-year-old relative in 1989.
They say he left California and managed to avoid arrest for two decades, before police got a tip he was in Loris.
Police say it's rare to capture a fugitive after that long.
