Florence County deputies are investigating a fire that killed a man on Sparkleberry Lane about 8:30 Monday night.

Christopher Lee Dorsey, 25, was found in the remains of his house, according to Florence County Coroner Bubba Matthews. An autopsy is being performed at the Medical University of South Carolina to determine an exact cause of death.

Lt. Brett Camp says investigators went back to the home Tuesday morning and may send some evidence to the state crime lab for further analysis.

Camp says he doesn't believe the fire was the result of an arson. He thinks it could be accidental, but they can't make a definite ruling until they determine a cause.
