Gas leak in CCU building

Emergency crews responded to a gas leak at a Coastal Carolina University building Friday evening.

It happened just before 7:00 p.m.

For at least a half hour no one was allowed inside the E. Craig Wall College of Business building.

Officials tell NewsChannel 15 a valve was accidentally turned on and they are not aware of anyone being inside at the time.

Conway Fire and Horry County Fire Rescue responded.

Officials reopened the building after a short time.
