Visitors are flocking to the Florence Veterans Park this week to see the American Veterans Traveling Tribute.
Wednesday, fifth and sixth grade students from Florence Christian School got the opportunity to visit the traveling Vietnam Wall. It stretches more than 380 feet long and lists the names of the thousands of soldiers killed during that war.
Several veterans visited the park and talked with the students. "It's great to see the young people have the opportunity to listen to us and our stories cause these are stories that are going away," said James Macmillan, a WWII veteran.
Connor Williams is one of the students who learned from the vets. "It means a lot because you really realize how many people loved this country and died for it."
The students got a chance to look at one of the helicopters flown in the Vietnam War.
