COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) - Columbia's airport is conducting a practice exercise to test its emergency plans.

Officials say the Airsafe 2010 exercise Wednesday at the Columbia Metropolitan Airport on Wednesday is required every two years by the Federal Aviation Administration.

Officials say people shouldn't be alarmed if they hear sirens or see lots of activity because there will be emergency vehicles at the airport as part of the drill.
