South Carolina Sixth District Congressman Jim Clyburn faces a battle to be the Democrat's second in command next year in the U.S. House of Representatives.

Maryland Congressman Steny Hoyer made it official Monday, he's running for minority whip.

Right now, Clyburn is House Majority Whip right now, which is third in command, but when Republicans take control of the House in January, the Democrats lose a leadership position.

Nancy Pelosi wants to be the minority leader, and the race is on to see who will be number two.
