David Alford, director of the Florence County Voter Registration Office, says Terry Law and Thurmond Becote filed an official protest in the Florence school board elections on Friday.

Law ran for School Board Seat 8 and Becote was seeking re-election to School Board Seat 9. Both lost their elections.

Alford says they both cite voting irregularities in their protests.

A hearing is scheduled for November 15 at the Florence Election Commission office on the campus of Florence Darlington Technical College.

A time for the hearing has not been established.
